SoloStore → ThriveCart alternative

The ThriveCart alternative with a published price

ThriveCart pioneered paying once instead of monthly — then stopped publishing what once costs. SoloStore prints the number on the page, and gives you the courses and community alongside the cart.

ThriveCart vs SoloStore, in one paragraph

Short answer: ThriveCart still has the better cart. Its bumps, upsells and affiliate centre are more mature than anything here. But as of 5 August 2026 it does not publish a price — you start a trial to find out — and its course product is an add-on to a checkout. SoloStore is $497 once, printed on the page, with courses and community built in.

The reason you are here

Why creators look for a ThriveCart alternative

You cannot see the price

As of August 2026 thrivecart.com lists Standard, Pro+ and Enterprise with no dollar figures. You start a trial to learn what it costs.

The lifetime deal keeps moving

What began as a flat lifetime licence now sits alongside monthly plans and a separate Enterprise tier.

It is a cart first

Learn+ bolts courses onto a checkout. If courses and community are the product, you are paying for the wrong centre of gravity.

ThriveCart figures are public list prices from thrivecart.com, checked 5 August 2026. SoloStore's total is the one-time licence plus about $7 a month of self-hosting (Railway and Bunny, paid direct). Stripe's processing fee applies on both sides and is excluded.

The other side

What ThriveCart does better than SoloStore

A comparison page that only flatters itself is an advert. Here is where ThriveCart wins.

ThriveCart is genuinely better at these

  • The cart itself. ThriveCart's bump, upsell and A/B testing engine is more mature than SoloStore's. If squeezing the checkout is your main lever, it wins.
  • The affiliate centre. ThriveCart has a real one. SoloStore has none.
  • Integrations. ThriveCart connects to nearly everything. SoloStore connects to Stripe and Kit and expects you to be happy with that.
  • Nothing to host. ThriveCart runs it for you. SoloStore asks for a five-minute Railway setup and about $7 a month.

Stay with ThriveCart if the checkout is the product — high-volume offers, deep upsell flows, an affiliate army. SoloStore is for the creator whose product is the course and the community, and who wants the cart to simply work.

The catch

You host it yourself. That is the whole trade.

Two services, no markup, nothing paid to us — and a five-minute setup with no code and no terminal.

RailwayHosting your SoloStore $5.00
BunnyHosts your videos & downloads for pennies $2–3
Your whole monthly bill ≈ $7

Not sure what self-hosting means in practice? Watch the five-minute setup video — it is the entire process, start to finish.

ThriveCart alternative FAQ

The questions people actually ask

How much does ThriveCart cost in 2026?
ThriveCart does not publish it. As of 5 August 2026 thrivecart.com lists Standard, Pro+ and Enterprise with a 30-day free trial and mentions that a lifetime option is available, but shows no dollar figures. You have to start a trial or contact them to see the price.
Is ThriveCart still a one-time payment?
Partly. The site describes monthly plans and says a lifetime option is still available — "ready to commit for life?" — but does not state either price publicly. SoloStore is a single one-time licence with the number printed on the page.
Does SoloStore replace ThriveCart?
For the checkout, funnels, order bumps and upsells — yes. For an affiliate programme or the deepest cart-optimisation features, no. If the cart is the centre of your business, ThriveCart is still the stronger tool.
What does SoloStore add that ThriveCart does not?
Courses and community as first-class parts of the product rather than an add-on tier, and the ability to host the whole thing on infrastructure you control for about $7 a month.
Do I keep my own Stripe account?
Yes. SoloStore runs on your Stripe keys, so money lands in your account and we never touch it. Our cut of every sale is $0.00.
Do I need to be technical to self-host it?
No. Setup is clicking through a Railway template — no code, no terminal, nothing to configure. There is a video of the whole thing on the homepage and a written guide in the box.
