Why I built this

I got tired of paying big bills to host and sell my digital products.

Each year I'd shell out $1,500+ to a platform just to host and sell my own digital products. And it still didn't do everything I wanted — the dashboard was clunky and slow, and I had to duct-tape automations together with Zapier.

Straight answers

Is it really a one-time payment?
Yes. You pay $497 once for the license and it's yours to keep. There's no monthly platform fee. The only ongoing cost is your own hosting — roughly $7/month for the platform and your videos — which you pay to your hosting provider, not to me.
What's the ~$7 a month for, then?
Hosting it yourself is what makes the whole thing cost pennies. It's cheap cloud storage for the platform and your video files — Railway at about $5, Bunny at $2–3, and a free database tier. Course platforms bake this into their monthly fee and mark it up heavily. I don't.
Do I need to be technical to host it?
No. You get a template and a step-by-step guide that walks you through it. If you can follow a recipe, click buttons and copy/paste text, you can get this live in less than 15 minutes. The video above is the whole process, unedited.
Where exactly do I host it?
Somewhere simple — and you never have to touch code. The app runs on Railway, where the $5/month plan is more than enough. Your videos live on Bunny, which is pay-as-you-go and genuinely cheap: around 50 videos usually costs $2–$3 a month. The database runs on a free service. The setup guide connects all three for you, step by step.
Can I host it alongside my existing website?
It runs on its own hosting, separate from your website — regular website or WordPress hosting isn't built to run an app like this. But your main site stays exactly where it is. You just point a subdomain like store.yourdomain.com at your store.
How do I process payments?
With your own Stripe account. You link it in one step during setup, and that's it. Every payment goes straight to your account and the payouts are yours. I never sit between you and your money, and there's no extra platform cut on top of Stripe's standard processing fee.
What does one license cover?
One license = one store. One storefront, one domain, one Stripe account — with unlimited products, courses, videos, members and communities inside it. If you ever want a second, separate store, you'd grab a second license.
Are updates free?
Updates are free for a full year. After that they're $99/year — completely optional. Even if you never update again, your store keeps running.
Will this replace my email tool?
On purpose, no. You keep the email platform you already know. SoloStore integrates natively with Kit and MailerLite, automatically tagging people when they buy or join a course, so your existing sequences and automations just work.
Can I move my existing courses over?
Yes. Because you host the videos and control the store, you can bring your existing content and members across. The setup guide covers migrating your files and pointing your domain.
